im talking to someone about a 1.6 lump so hopefully will get that, can any of the anchineries exchanged between the vitara and jimny engine, i.e the alternator and starter

that engine was suggested but seems a lot of work, and to be honest i dont do a lot of off roading

sorry a few more questions

1, the 8v block has a different compression ratio to the 16v block will this cause problems when fitting to the jimny head?

2, do i use the vitara alternator?

1. Are you sure it's the block that makes the compression difference, or is it just the head that's lower on the other engine? Bigger compression rate will make more power.

2. That I don't know...

thanks, i apologise for all the questions, i just want to get all the parts together so when i start the job the truck is off the road for the smallest amount of time, i dont fancy finding that i need a part then being held over a barrel for it, thanks again
