Slight engine squeak & clutch squeak was created by J-Bro
Suzuki 1.3 - 2000 JLX
Recently my Jimny has developed a squeak.
It is from the engine area and I assume it could be any of the belts or fan.
Has anyone had this issue and what is the best way to find where it is coming from?
Also I was in the woods last night. Nothing heavy just dirt tracks. I did try and attempt to go through a large pond like puddle! Car handle it fine! I was a bit scared to head right into it.
The clutch pedal now squeaks on pushing to the floor!
Is there anything related with the engine squeak, clutch or me trying to go through water?
I'm totally new to off roading and to be honest wouldn't drive it like an idiot as its the most expensive car I've ever bought!
Any help would be great!

Your motor has an idler puller, try squirting a bit of water displacement product such RP7, CRC, 5-56 or whatever and see if the squeek goes away. If that fixes it temporarily then just replace that idler pulley bearing, cheap it is. If your clutch pedal squeeks and not the clutch, then spray the same stuff onto where it pivots. A more permanent solution is to "Puff" some graphite dust into the pivot, good stuff to "Puff" into hinges too.

I'm afraid not.
In the UK "cheap" is not a word that could describe any Suzuki spare parts. "Ludicrously expensive" is more like it.
The idler pulley was £130 last time I asked.
May just be belt tension needs adjustment. The main belt adjusts by pivoting the alternator, the power steeering belt by rotating the idler pulley.
If it suddenly breaks, go back to the last thing that you did before it broke and start looking there

You only have to replace the bearing, not the whole pulley. Price is $16.95 at Bursons. I replaced mine in September 2011 so I wouldn't imagine much of a price increase in that time. Just take the assembly in and Bursons will even fit it for you if you have friendly staff like my nearest outlet.

Ah, you have the one with the small bearing.
The idler pulley on the twin cam does not have a replaceable bearing, unless you are handy with machine tools
