Ready to Underseal was created by Smoggy
Now ive got everything off (rear axle, trailing arms, exhaust, petrol tank, rear prop etc.)
I can now start stripping back the rust and applying cavity wax and underseal to protect my Jimny from the tin worm. After all no point fitting all the goodies if in 2 years it drops to bits. Oh for the pleasures of not having a galvanised car, oh well
Some pics for you cos I know we all love pics

Oops. Nowive done some grinding, some sanding and some eradication of rust, what looked like scabs has turned into holes in the boot floor and behind drivers rear wheel arch. Looks like il be needing the welder again

They always go there at the back Marky. How come you welded both sides? Mind you mine had been previously patched in the same place with a patch welded on the inside only and its starting to go again already.
What year is your Jimny? The reason I ask is my x plate was a bit scabby so I thought I would do a 'proper' job and remove the rear components, fuel tank and all. Glad I did cos above the tank the floor is in serious need of repair. Il get some more upto date photos now ive prepped it, better to be fore warned

you have a body lift so should be easyer than mine plus i got a 2"x2" bar running between the chassis at the rear as a land rover recovery point   :woohoo:
