Hi guys, i am new here and i'm here to stay :) need some help though..

i found my windscreen leaking and replace it, dried the whole interior. And went out last night and drove past some little tiny puddle of water. I dunno if that water is the culprit but my car interior carpet is all wet again.. All wet = driver, passenger and the back.. I dunno where the leak is from and the last time after fitted the new windscreen seal..the workshop tested with hose spraying water on windscreen side window roof etc and all seems good until today i touch the carpet and its wet.. Any kind soul who might have experience can help me out with ur past experience? I dun wan the car to rust and the smell to linger.. And i havent gotten the chance to mod and go off road!

Another question, how do most of you clean your car exterior and interior after playing with mud etc..? Are we able to power wash undercarriage of the car with all the metal parts there? I havent see a thread with cleaning method..bet the engine bay gets mud and sand and its not gonna be easy to clean up.

could be a leak from the heater matrix, if water runs into the air intake at the windscreen and a pipe has worked loose somewhere then water will pour into your footwell

Thats what happens to Mercedes all the time and i have seen a fair share of heater issues with Jimny's so it might be similar.

you can try a hose test direct at the air intake below the windscreen, if you see water coming into either footwell then its the hose connection to your heater system under the dash. The main heater box is under your left hand side dash normally.

Its a bit of a basta*rd to get to for a repair though. Say 'heater matrix' to our workshop foreman and he goes white!

I've tried removing that black plastic trim from infront of the windscreen... gave up after taking everything off and it was still stuck solid!
