Hi folks.
I don't own a jimny yet but had a look around one last week.
I didn't realise the battery is so tiny on them!
Can anyone tell me what amp the standard battery is and is it possible to put a higher ampage battery on them as I want to run high power radio equipment in mine when I buy it.

If it suddenly breaks, go back to the last thing that you did before it broke and start looking there

The standard fit is a type 157 (B33)
45AH 330CCA with small Japanese terminals
You can get a physically bigger battery in the space (with more capacity), if you can't get a small terminal version you will need to fit standard terminal clamps.

Cheers for the reply,all I need is around 60 amps.
I will see if they do a larger capacity type 157,because it sounds a pain changing to fit standard terminal clamps.

Seems 45 is the limit for these slim batteries.
I would be interested to know if anyone else on the forum has put a higher ampage battery in that small gap
