Spotlight relay wiring help

Your diagram is correct Alan based on my understanding of relay numbering.

Renard has posted the same and shows the "Trigger" feed going to the headlamp via a switch on the dashboard.

Just had a go at wiring up the relay as shown, still not working, checked the wiring and only possible explanation is the link to the main beam circuit, I tapped into it near the bulb holder, is this OK. done it before and all OK on other cars, but am I using the right wire, from what I can see from the wiring diagram, I used the mainly solid red wire??? is this the one>> or one of the other two, or should I pick up the feed from somewhere else?

sorry to bump this thread up but,

i want to wire mine in with a switch to be able to have them sperate to my high beams,

dirtydogz i noticed you said your photo had a extra wire added,

but the photo doesnt work for me,

Can someone please explain this? I was just about to wire in two spotlights, and found the feed to the main beam lights are neutral-switched! I've put the spotlight relay in, and wired up:
85 to neutral (earth)
30 to permanent live
87 to spotlights
So where does 86 go?

30 and 87 is the switched part, and 85 and 86 is (usually) the coil part, but the neutral switching has me completely stumped.

86 needs to be a live by elimination

the coil needs a + and a - to work, what it switches is irrelevant as long as its within its current abilities (can switch on neg or pos as you want).

Thanks, everyone. All done. Got some strange (to me) readings from my multimeter when trying to figure out the lamp wiring -
14 volts from two of them, and 1.5 from one (not zero) with mainbeams on. Anyways, just to make it crystal clear for anyone else:

85 spliced into mainbeam wire where it goes into 3-pin plug. It's the primarily red wire nearest to the wing on the driver's side.

Hi guys. newbie here and just found out about Suzuki's strange headlight wiring .. any way .. my son has mounted some spots in the bumper and we're powering via a relay which we could not get to work correctly .. spots permanently on regardless of headlight operation.

Then. I found this which I have followed, but still have a small problem in that when you switch to high beam, the spots come on, but do not turn back off when you return to dipped !! they will only turn off when you turn off to sidelights only.

Hoping this "HOLY THREAD REVIVAL BATMAN" will summon someone who knows.
