The dealer where my Mrs works have already taken two deposits. To be fair to them they only ever sold the new Jimny's at the Suzuki RRP. As you say it will be a long wait. We waited 9 months for ours and she works there. If i had the money to spare i would order one.

I hope the dealer network won't feel the need to run demonstrators.

At least Suzuki GB acknolwedges that there was a feeding frenzy with their dealerships:
4. Centralised order management (hopefully will reduce Dealer fleecing but they could still fake orders for "friends")

The strong feeling is that it is SZ4 only - this is based on the parts manual that has been published. It only shows parts consistent with it being an SZ4
If Suzuki UK has any sense it would provide a comprehensive list of bolt on upgrades as per most "commercial vehicles" such as the Ranger etc. where there is a large market in customising your order. However again, I suspect they will miss a trick on this. If you look at the current one, people are happiily spending £2000 to £3000 almost immediately on bolt on goodies from roof-rack/ladders etc. Being SZ4 then there could be Alloy options or Media systems etc. So that will be £2000 to £3000 that Suzuki will miss out on.
Not only that but a further strong feeling is that it may be white only
