Meanwhile, for the rest of us, this whole 'shortage of supply debacle' is completely deliberate on their part because they (Suzuki) would be in breach of their CO2 emissions commitments if they were to supply a Jimny to everyone who wants one. It's all about quotas these days. The customer has to decide whether to 'put up or shut up' . . . so far, I'm still putting up . . and it feels like being dangled by a thread :woohoo:
I am assured by my dealer (who is just as frustrated by the shortage!) that if it all becomes too much for me to bear, they will gladly return my deposit . . and I take them at their word.

Well done wigit. I have written to Nobuo Suyama, Takanori Suzuki (no family relation) and Junita Fernandez, Company Secretary, who are the three active Directors of Suzuki GB, at Steinbeck Crescent, Snelshall West, Milton Keynes MK4 4AE. I kept it formal and to the point, and referred to this forum for a selection of the answers people have had, and customer reactions.

I’m told delay is due to weather in Zebrugge, funny as car ferries still operate.
Entirely possible. We live in a world where we make things happen by ourselves.
Meanwhile, in The Real World Where Everything is Really Loads More Difficult Than People Not in The Job Think they likely have to wait for space on a car carrier, the one that should have taken them but couldn't because it was a bit windy has gone off to another job, and the rest are likely booked up.
"Mine" was supposedly due last week, haven't heard anything.........
If it suddenly breaks, go back to the last thing that you did before it broke and start looking there

Hay Lambert my friend, what do you make of the Skoda Karoq 4x4. I realise its a tad limp as a 4x4 in terms off off-roading, but as a car able to go down farm lanes?? The Scout 2l diesel looks good at least.
