I’ve had a busy day. And now have a list of jobs to look at on the Jimny. 2 weeks ago I done the near side wheel bearing. Car was quiet for a week then I could hear the other side grumbling so today I set about a wheel bearing swap all done and dusted :)
but I could hear a blow from the exhaust :( made a temp repair but I now need a new front centre section.
Checked the rear engine mount (the gearbox one) and it separated :(
And the long transfer box mount has given up the ghost too!!! I’m glad I found out now but man. My poor wallet.

I’ve got a wanted ad for a transfer box mount if anyone can help me out.

Cheers Thanks for the offer but I might have just sourced a full set of new HD mounts since posting. Thanks for replying Dan.

Today, I mostly fitted some replacement seats :)

Huge thanks to CAElite for sending a set of front seat cushions to replace my terribly collapsed drivers seat which was so bad you could feel the metal frame sticking into your back - so much so that it was even picked up as an MOT advisory

OLD collapsed seat back....

Replacement seat cushions fitted

Please ignore the mucky looking mat B) :) ...that was some of the degrading foam that broke up and fell out of the old cushions!

Again, my thanks for your help CAElite :)

Managed to eventually get my 235's fitted to the rims I had lying around...

Had to trim a tiny bit off rear of front arch. It is still a close fit, but am comfortable that it won't be an issue. It looks like it will catch in the pic, but the angle is deceiving:

NICE WHEELS!

Those look seriously nice wheels, and the tyres do them full justice

Thanks dude, pretty happy with them too!

Wheels come from a Daihatsu Fourtrak, took a wire brush to them thinking I'd prep them for primer and paint, but thought the raw aluminium looks so good I'm just gonna leave as is.

I’ve been on a 350 mike round trip to pick up some fourtrak wheels I bought on eBay, holding off on fitting them until I decide on a tyre size. Not bad for 75 plus fuel though :)
