How are you doing your wiring..?

I plan to run as per JersyJimny in this thread:
www.bigjimny.com/index.php/forum/7-jimny...not-done-this-before
However, as I am only running 3 spots at a total of 17 amps load (I think) have ordered some low profile 20 amp dual core cable and if it fits wil just run it down the slot in the windscreen rubber rather than trunking.
All depends on the wire thickness when it turns up.
The brackets for the two outer spots are actually roof joist fixings. Nice and thick and only £2.25 each, so I stopped fabricating the one I started as was lazy

kirkynut wrote: Greased my brake lines to stop them rusting and re-packed my boot now the battery is gone from it. I actually have some space spare in the boot now - only enough for one small shopping bag but hey, it's space!
I need to buy a new Fire Extinguisher though as mine has lost pressure and think I might get some of those rubber grip things for my breaker bar to sit on the inside of the back door.
I might make a fold down table for the back door too for making a cuppa out of the wind when laning etc.

That is in my to do list.....

just for those who don't know to calculate your amps:
Current = watts divided by volts
example 55 watts / 12 volts = 4.58A

Thanks Rob, wish SWOM would say that. I had thought of a high top roof for storage but that's just ridiculous isn't it.

Thanks I guess in this day and age of tinterweb I could have just looked that up but brain was stuck in engineer mode not "modern human"
So this 20A slim wire I have ordered will be a tad heavy so can look at even slimmer wire
Only a few shifts left until I can make a start at final fit of spots and liner .. if all the bits turn up .. fingers crossed
