Mine are too in the black Jimny, do my dome in they do :side:
Always shutting the doors on em. They do sort of retract but they need a helping hand :pinch:

I used a strip of sandpaper cut about a half inch thick.
Stuffed it through and used a sort of see saw motion, pulling over the part the belt runs over.

I haven't looked yet but isn't it just a pressed fit? Can't it be popped out with a scredriver?

Used a large socket and a g clamp to wind the old ones out and put a bit of washing up liquid on the new bushes and metal inserts and they slipped straight in,
