Laning today and a few fords found some new lanes, one of them was pretty naughty, had to stay out of the ruts or I would have been well and truelly beached ! And there are some great fords less than 20 mins way for where I am, nothing to test out the snorkel yet though, not until it starts to flood.

Today in a moment of pure rock and roll exuberance I fitted 2 new wipers to the front. One is even longer than it should be.

I have odd length arms and odd length blades but it is all cancelled out. :laugh: :laugh: You wonder why they didn't stick to the SJ equal blades and arms.

Ah yes I did notice that but I went one better well 3 actually. I saw the passenger side was nearly at the edge of the screen when parked but the driver side was not so I upped that to a 21 so that when at full sweep it covers all the screen but also misses the passenger blade too.

Fitted new O2 sensor which has now sorted out the diagnostic trouble codes that kept popping up. Hopefully the engine will sound sweet as a nut now Also started to work on the kingpin bearing replacement, got as far as removing the backplate bolts and one of them started to round off gave up until I have more time to find a way of removing the offending bolt and replacing it with a new one.

Today I added these WOLO 402 air horns... Bloody hell I'm impressed they are at the very least, twice as loud as the oem unit and the don't sound toy-like as with other electric air horns, the sound like a trains horn. This is just temporary, I plan on doing a train horn build :silly:

Good stuff, any change from the micky mouse stock horn is an improvement

Get some proper train horns, run them off a compressor that feeds a tank.
THEN you'll know what they sound like.

Had a set up with triple chrome horns on my Carry van, although expensive, (£200 in a sale!) they were worth it just to see people freeze when I sounded them.

They took some fitting though to be honest, to be neat and tidy, but I took my time and was pleased with the results. You couldn't see them from outside or inside the vehicle, well apart from the pressure gauge and big red button on the dash! LoL!

Get some bought/imported, you know you want to.............. :evil:

I know someone who got in serious trouble with the police for having some of those, sounded them near a crossing and some old dear passed out.
