get your self some os maps. not to far from you theres loads around alton area, also try a site called wetroads covers river crossings fords etc ive found that quite help full some times

This is a site I use a lot. Has got links to videos on YouTube for most of the lanes. You can select the county from the menu at the top; seems like Hampshire has a lot of lanes.

What I have done is chop the top 30% off the shroud and kept it. The rest I binned. It now serves to protect from the fanblades and has a little bit of shroud for sucking air to the fan. I can access the alternator bracket for adjustment and such like really easily and if I want more access I undo just two bolts and it is off.
