I did put the pinion block back in and put a spacer in before and after. Is this what you did?

I didnt put any spacers between the pinion block and the lock right. I only fitted 2 spacers and they were the thin ones I mentioned yesterday. I fitted these to each differential gear.

So 1 was the 1st thing I fitted into the housing with the 1st differential gear and the 2nd was the last thing I fitted with the 2nd differential gear if that makes sense. So the lock right, pinion block and pinions are all that is inbetween the 2 differential gears.

I hope this makes sense!:)

Ah, that makes sense - so you have still got the washers that came with the diff lock sitting on your shelf! I will give this a try. Thanks for your help

Decided to disassemble the diff and install the lock rite again without the washers. All was going well, after fitting the lock seemed to disengage like it should. Went for a drive, seemed quiet with one loud clunk. When I got back decided to put it on the stands to check it was all working fine. This time it would not disengage and was acting like I'd sheared the pins again. Any advice would be helpful!!!

Have you put the pins and springs in the correct holes? Thats all I can think of at the minute.
