Mounting rock sliders/side steps??

In the UK we have a 20mm gap between the chassis and the brake lines don't you in OZ.

Also a great idea, but mk2 is also a fail i think. How are you meant to get a bolt in at the top?, unless you have a body lift.

Yes that's it, all it need's no is a gusset.

I have made up all the brackets, got my pipe bender and now just waiting on pipe.

I will put pics up once finished.

maybe you could take some photos as you make them it might help some one if they need to make some for there jimny.

I have been looking into this and have a couple of questions.

1. How did you find a "clamping point" on the drivers side of the vehicle. The chassis rail has the axle mounting points at either end, the cross chassis tubes and the transfer box mounts and mounting bar. I cannot see any place you can feed a clamp around the chassis on the drivers side.

2. How did you fit the clamps and bolts between the chassis rail and the body (do you have a body lift). At some points there is less than 10mm space. The only position where there seems to be adequate space is around a floor rise that occurs mid chassis rail, just by the transfer box mount?
