Thanks for the kind words ;-)

Trailer finished off today. Bit more paint early on then took apart the old trailer board and robbed the lights & wiring. Fitted them up using the pipe and box bracket I had welded in earlier. Should have painted the wiring box (or got a black one at least!)

Pretty happy with how its turned out. Garage landlord has ordered me another red tarpaulin to match the one on the car to finish it off.

Booked in for the throttle bodies dyno tune next week still hopefully :woohoo: Getting excited isnt the word...

That trailer is ace and has a mini Sankey look about it. Totally amazing work and an enjoyable thread to read, thanks for taking the time to post.

LOL - took the words right out of my [strike] mouth [/strike] fingertips - it reminds me of the military trailers we used to tow around when I was on 33Sqn Puma helicopters

As said above, I do enjoy this thread. There's always great images to accompany good, detailed logs of what you have been up to.

The trailer looks brilliant - getting ideas for the future!

Throttle body time

Yesterday was spent mocking it up on a spare engine (again) and double checking measurements and clearances. I then spent the afternoon cursing suzuki for various things to do with wiring diagrams and wire colours (who puts two wires the same colour in the same plug, but in different terminals??). Upside is I now have all the wires at the ECU labelled with little flags from the label printer:

This morning was fiddling about making a vent catch can. This is a way of dealing with the rocker cover breather and PCV valve. My new manifold doesnt allow for them (and the EGR valve will be going too, so no need for the PCV valve any more). I used an old welding gas cylinder to make my own catch can to suit the two pipes I am left with to vent. Inside the pipes bend down and stop before the mesh floor. There is a drain plug and a vent at the top which will suit the breater filter I have ordered. There is a couple of tappings on the sides which will have a clear pipe between to use as a level guage (when it needs emptied). 2 hrs and some scrap stuff was worth it. Forgot to take a pic of the outside of it tho...

Then this afternoon it was off to JDM dyno to start putting the new goodies onto Ulysses. Just got it stripped down and the new one on loosely so far. Port sizes are a lot larger on the new setup B)

More tomorrow...
