Lil Red - SJ restoration - Graphics

WIth the paint hardened off (about 2 weeks minimum) the graphics can be applied.

Before the car was refurbished we took it to Creative Sign Solutions near us in Finchampstead.

They scanned and measured the graphics to get an exact replica, right down to the tiny dots that the colour was made up from. This level of detail is essential to re-produce the exact look. The graphics were then printed and left a few days to cure properly,

 

WIth them hardended off, they can have the transfer layer applied ready to transfer onto the SJ.

The transfer layer is used to bring the graphic to the car where it is accurately aligned. This is aligned better that Suzuki did in the factory as we did note one of the original graphics was not straight 

Then, once checked, the transfer paper can be removed

Job done. 

The graphics were expensive but if you were in any doubt about the value of going for top quality then take a look at the comparison with a cheap Internet copy that we had bought. See how they are not even the correct size for the vehicle and how the small dot pattern make up the colour in the "proper" version
