Thought I'd better join
our Ian
with my own build thread of my NGV (New Grand Vitara)...
So, I bought a red NGV about 18 months ago -
It's a 3-door DDiS model (Renauly 1.9 Diesel Engine same as a Megane, etc), I wanted one of them as it's the only 3-door model that has a proper -
Low-Box! The petrol models are more like SUVs, as they have permanent 4-WD, but no centre diff lock, or low-box, so for me it had to be the diesel model...
But, it looked too much like a car, so as usual, I started modding it...
Starting with, a 2" lift...
In the rear, in goes a +2" trailmaster spring, and a ProComp ES1000 shock (from JimnyBits)
At the same time, some +20mm Eibach wheels spacers go on to widen the track and fill the arches...
In the front, Strut Spacers from the Bits4Vits Store (I don't sell these any longer though as they were a poor seller)
That's better, 2" lift, and it still sits a little nose down as Suzuki intended...
At the same time some Yokohama Geolandars ATs in standard size went on too, so as not to upset the gearing and the speedo reading...
Next came rear window tinting by a mate locally, and front window wind deflectors... and for a while I was happy with it...
BUT, the bug soon strikes again!
I recently acquired a...
Front winch mount from AFN in Portugal, via West Coast Offroad who imported it for me...
That will go behind the front bumper very much like a JimnyBits winch mount, like this -
Only I want to keep my lower grill -
As I'm only using a little 4,500lb winch, which will be plenty as this one won't be wondering offroad too much...
It only came with a tiny fairlead for an ATV, so I've got a better one ready -
And, look what else arrived this morning -
A snorkel from www.snorkels.es !
Very similar to this one -
Just got to get some time to fit them now! :S

It's only been offroad once so far! -
On Houndkirk Moor near Sheffield, on a road trip back in April 2014]/url to pick up some parts for the Jimny / from Rockwatt !
It's a bit too nice to offroad, but I just want it capable enough to get out of muddy fields and survive Welsh winters, etc...
And look 'right' too of course
