my mates got the muds on and made a 2" body lift and got that fitted today and had a little play and found the vitaras ground clearance isn't very good (got stuck on the smallest hill lol), hopfully on with a 2" suspension lift soon, snorkel turning up Monday fit that and breathers, and im trying to talk them in to getting a lockright then should be a good laneing truck,

obviously as title says you've got one now. but thought I'd add a little more in from my own Vit experience.
16V engine is excellent, just keep up with oil changes.
8V prone to oil pump trouble, had two blow within 3 months of each other on a late 4U model.
taller gearing+16V engine good on road combo (and more economical), but lower ratio earlier models better off road.
rust resistance varies between builds, some seem to be very resistant, whereas others rust like a land rover.

absolutely, plus a little bit more room inside a Vit, particularly for taller drivers.
the LWB Vits are less common round here, but also fetch less money, slightly more rust prone in the rear footwells than the swb is.
