Tie rod was touching the arm, and the front drive shaft was only a couple of mm off the chassis cross member. Short story, too much caster adjustment on only one eye. I've decided on custom arms. I could put a caster bush in the rear eye but wanted lose the caster bushes. The plates were definitely solid enough but cause too many other headaches to warrant continuing.

Haha, tracked down by the "Funky Gibbon". How you going Monkey, this is a great forum for Jimny info. It's where I go looking for info when I can't find it elsewhere, the UK guys know Jimnys.

Yep found you. With the castor adjustment the can do it digitally and get it perfect i will be getting the TSOR arms which are suited to 70 to 100mm lifts and then with offset bushs the castor will be perfect for our height.
