I know of a few people who have had to replace the rubber trim around door /window frames because of the condensation - from all the breathing in a confined space.
Caravans, on the other hand, have reasonable ventilation. :huh:
Make sure you open windows just a little to avoid the same troubles. - you may, however, need another blanket !

Just standard 1.3 gears, Non VVT gearbox ix going in to replace the lower geared VVT box and the lower 4.3 diff ratio found in the VVT Jimny. About 16% lower than stock. I run 235/75R15s so it should end up about 6% lower than stock if my calculations have been correct.

Transfer out. I removed the middle section of the exhaust to help the gearbox clear everything.
I forgot to drain the oil and made a mess when I pulled the jack shaft.

Back into it Sunday. Pulled the gearbox, compared it to new and realised that there was going to be some shift mechanism issues. As it turned out the rear gearbox mount is different so I used the Mark III Jimny mount but had to re-drill a couple of holes.
Both gearboxes are very different from the bell back.

Reverse sender plug wasn't compatible so RC parts to the rescue.

I need to make a mount for the shifter mech.
The only difficult part to this swap is the fact that I'm also swapping the gearbox. Mounting of the actual transfer has been a breeze. Now fingers crossed the box and case have no internal issues.

On my rear prop I had an ali spacer/adaptor made that bolts to the Sammi flange but takes an original Jimny prop.
Manual VVT, 2 1/2" lift, ORA castor corrected arms, 2" ORA body lift, 4:1 transfer box, Uprated front shafts & CVs ERM , ARBs back & front 3.9 diffs, 6 point cage, ORA winch bumper - Superwinch EP9, ORA rear bumper, ORA axle truses, Diff guards ERM , TBR tank guard, Snorkel, Kumho KL71.30.9.50 15

As soon as I dumped the 480kg (Nett waste weight) I went and loaded up 500kg of 10mm Concrete mix and three 20kg bags of cement + tools.
Yeah my gears do help, I don't dump the clutch or ride it, she'll happily pull all day long. Wish I could say the same about the mrs.
This will be handy on the job. I plan to set it up so it can be used front or rear.
