Gear Box Woes was created by Snowy Paul
So over the last few months it's been getting harder and harder to select 2nd, 4th and Reverse, basically all the gears that involve moving the gear stick backwards. The problem seems to be worse when the engine is warm. I have taken the slack out of the clutch (which was replaced a couple of years ago) but it doesn't seem to have made much difference. Its a 2000 model with about 140k on the clock. I have heard of an issue with the rear engine mount which I will investigate, but other than that I guess it's a warn linkage. Before I take it apart has anyone else had the same issue and is there anything I need to be aware of? Cheers in advance.

For anyone with hard to select gears on the R7ME box
it's these bushes that wear out

easily changed just undue the 2 bolts at top of the plate
remove and fit austin mini exhaust bobbins
then refit top 2 bolts
