Has anyone any idea as to the average/rough cost of getting a head gasket replaced on an M13a engine in a workshop - not a main dealer?
We've done all the diagnosis bits. It needs a head gasket
Thanks

I paid just under a grand for the head gasket and clutch on my last one which involved taking the motor out hence some of the cost. I would expect just the gasket to be 600 ish depending on where you live.

I paid £800 for the buggy to have the same work in July... he's now doing it again as he re-used the old head bolts?!

It's worth noting that and complete engine swap costs a similar amount, including purchasing the bigger engine (Liana 1.6 for non VVT models, Swift 1.5 for VVT models).
