Re:Tyre Pressure on Gen4 w BFG K02 - still a bit confused
It was in new condition and had done 1300 miles.
When l checked the tyre pressures they were all at 42psi
Clearly the supplying dealer had not reset the tyre pressures from the factory shipping settings and the first owner had used it for 1300 miles like that.
Considering the high tyre pressures it drove OK, but it was a lot better with them reduced to
28psi.
lt's always worth checking tyre pressures when you buy a new vehicle, don't assume that the dealer will have done it.

Thanks, these are completely new on me. So I feel like I have learned something today!mlines wrote: As they emulate the sensors, they are specific to the sensor/receiver set-up which in the case of Suzuki is from Continental Tyres. Therefore the emulator emulates the Continental Sensors.
I have one here on loan for a member (no, I have not forgotten I have to return it, David). It is from IronGates.
Here you can see it transmitting random sensor information.
Don't suppose you know how easy they are to buy or what kind of price they might be?

That's the one I have been loaned by a forum member. The tpms on a Jimny seems quite flaky when compared to the identical system on the swift. I assume it is due to blocking of the radio signal by the wheels or the body work. He could not get the tpms spoofer to work and the company sent him another. After lots of messing around we got both working.

It makes you wonder how many press cars had the correct tyre pressures when tested.lightning wrote: We bought our 2020 Jimny second hand from a member on here.

They're maintained by a separate press garage and don't usually go anywhere near a dealer, thankfully.
It is annoying that the Jimny's TPMS system has a meltdown when you drop just a couple of psi below the recommended pressures, but doesn't seem to have a problem with them being nearly twice over pressure.
Any word on your TPMS video, Martin?
