rear anti roll bar mount repairs was created by Samthejimnyfan
offside rear anti roll bar mounts have got holes in from rust. Does the axle need to be removed to get access to the front side of the mount to gain access to reface/patch the holes? And has anyone done the repair who could give advice or share their experience of doing it?

Thank you.

The Jimny doesn’t have a rear anti-roll bar?

Are you referring to the panhard rod?

Panhard rod, yes, thank you. It’s the offside mount which has rusted through completely.

This bit then -

I’ve previously fixed the front panhard rod on my last Jimny with some...

... 100mm x 50mm rectangular box section cut in half like this so that it’s the right internal dimension to suit the panhard rod’s mounting bush...

Do you have access to a welder / friend that could do it for you?

I can send you this piece for the cost of the postage if it would help?

Dave ;)

Bit of 50mmx50mm box section can be used too. I bolted mine first then welded.

On the 8th Day God made the LandRover -
On the 9th day he swapped it for a Jimny.
