Hi guys,

I'm looking to buy some new tyres and rims from another forum user but need some advise really quickly.

The ones I'd like are:

Hankook Dynapro MT in 215/75/15 on Negative Offset Rims.

Now, what I need to know is will these be OK to put on my Jimny that has not been lifted or modded in anyway? I understand I may have to remove the mudguards incase they rub (who needs mudguards anyway).

WIll I need to get new wheel nuts or anything? Currently have just the standard OZ Alloys that most Jimnys were fitted with (shown in my profile).

Am I right in thinking that Negative Offset just means that the tyres will just stick out from the side of my Jimny a little?

Advise really needed quickly as I don't want to mess the seller around.

Many thanks!

Steve :)

Tape measure time! 215 75 15 are aprox 3.5cm or 1.5 inches in old money taller.
2005 + Jimnys have slightly less clearance due to face lifted bumper.
Also remember when people say they have this size fitted, not all 215/75/15 will
be the same size! My 205 70 15 muds only just clear with a 2" lift.
Still had to take off the front mudflaps.

I have those same tyres in same size. Fits fine in an unmodified 2003 Jimny (no lift, no arch cutting). Used a lot off-road.

As said above though, the 2005 - 2012 models have different bumper / arch layout and are more prone to clearance issues, so my experience won't necessarily apply if your car comes from those year models.
