Hello fellow Jimny lovers,

I'm hoping someone can help with my stupid problem!!!!!! :

I keep experiencing intermittant cutting out/loss of power...
When this happens it's only a for few seconds, then it clears and runs perfectly for anything from a day to a couple of months. When this problem occurs it sounds like only running on 2 or 3 cylinders. The other day it done it twice and lasted about 30 seconds the first time, then sorted it's self out again. It then done it again for a minute the second time. I stopped the engine, restarted, fault gone been alright again for last week.
I was thinking may be coil breakdown????
I use my Jimny everyday for work.
Any ideas would be helpful thanks.

I would say it will be a coil pack breaking down intermittently .

This sounds vaguely similar to the problem I had with mine, Click here to go to the thread. I firstly replaced the camshaft sensor (£60) which made no difference and fixed it by replacing the crankshaft sensor (£60).

Ahh sounds different to my problem. It may be pointing towards coil pack as you said. When you get it fixed let us know how you resolved it, will be interesting to know :) .
