hi all can i chop in to the front cross member to get my 8000lb winch in a bit tighter or not only by a inch or two and then stengthen it back up with the new tray ect thanks for the feed back

I wouldn't, You wont be able to refit the anti-roll bar come MOT time as they are getting strict with this.
Also cutting the cross member is a chassis mod that will require SVA
Mine has been replaced by the previous owner with box section and I am looking on replacing mine for a weaker original cross member, even though it is well hidden behind a ORA front bumper.

it will only be stronger than what it is now that cross member is crap lol when the tray and box section is all welded up it will be sound
