Help,
I have a 1998 S reg Jimny and at present my 4wd will not engage. I get the flashing light on the dash but does not go solid. I have checked to see if the drive is engaged by jacking up the wheels but they still rotate freely.
A friend has checked the VSV1 and 2 and they seem to be working correctly. It appears that they are not receiving a message when the 4H is engaged. Where do I start looking?

It normally won't engage but tried it this morning and it worked. Tried it again later and the 4wd light will not remain steady.

If anyone can help I would be greatful.

Thanks. I have a good vacuum at the top but nothing to let the valves know too open. The 4wd switch on the. Transfer case flashes the dash light when shorted. Are there any other electrical parts to check before pulling to much hair out,

Had the electrics checked and appears the processor under the dash is not earthing.
Does anyone know if there is an earthing switch anywhere and if so where.

Hi I had the same problem mate not so long ago! There is a one way valve on the system you should be able to see it as soon as you lift the bonnet it's about level with the injector bar. It was around £18 from Suzuki.
Also one of my hub's wasn't working as it should!! So have replaced it bargin on eBay £10 for a pair.
Hope this has helped?

a quick workaround is to manually lock the hubs
