so they are known for breaking then?

just hope my mate can get it fixed and it lasts a bit longer, he said he was going to drill deeper holes and make new pins, heat up the pins and put em in.

well actually its fixed i just need it to get it back but canny get a hold of him.

Yes, when I bought one from my Suzuki dealer he said they had broken a few (and the one they currently had in their workshop only had 3 pins left on it!). You have to take great care unfortunately. The original nut has the edge bent over into a groove on the drive shaft and it is essential that this is bent back out otherwise you end up trying to not only undo the nut but also overcome the locking tab using the tool, which is fatal to the tool.

The good news is that once it is undone the first time its a lot easier the next time.

I got one from Dave at Bits4Vits and one of the pins actually came out, I hammered it back in and it's stayed but they could be better.

I'l have one off you Martin if they're better quality, which you sound like you're trying to make them.
