Has anyone fitted HD greaseable or just standard greaseable UJ's to their props?

If so where did you get the UJ's from and do you have any part numbers?

I'm not sure that my UJ's need changing but having had a Landrover that had one go whilst at Tong I know what a pain they can be. My Jimny has more mileage than the Disco and they dont look to have being changed. I used to grease the UJ's on the Disco once a month and one still let go on me!

So I just thought I would try and sort this out before the inevitable happens!

Cheers

Chris

If it is any help, the rear prop UJ is
25 x 63.8 mm

Quinton Hazel QL219 or ql529 (with grease nipple)
Blueprint ADK83901 no grease nipple.

The 529 fits a Pajero/Shogun front prop and an L200/L300 front prop.
The 219 fits a Mitsubishi Celeste/Colt/Galant/Lancer SJ/Samurai etc

You will be lucky to find one for under about £40.   I needed one quickly, as there was a new old stock one on eBay usa for half that including shipping.

And you thought they would be £4 like the Landrover ;)

I searched for ages, and found a company that bought up and sold obsolete Jap car spares, selling the Lancer uj for £7 :woohoo:
But they hadn't got one :pinch:

If it suddenly breaks, go back to the last thing that you did before it broke and start looking there :)

Cheers for all the reply's. :)

I will have to save my penny's as I would like to replace all the UJ's at the same time and like facade says I was expecting them to be around £4 each!!
