We need a little bit more information, but both a 215/70/15 and 215/75/15 will fit with no modifications but I dont believe a 215/80/15 would fit witout modification.

Read this for the sizes and the modofications needed for what size.

Also search the forums as there are numerous threads with plenty of information on this.

About tyre sizes:
Of a 215/75/15 tyre, the 215 tyre refers to the width of the tyre, the 75 refers to the aspect ratio of the sidewall to the width of the tyre and the 15 refers to the size of the rim to fit the tyre.

I know all about tyre profiles and the car is already lifted, etc. All i need to know is if a 215 is too wide for an SJ rim?

Ive got an SJ rim as a spare on my Jimny and it has a different size tyre to the other wheels plus its seen better days. So was just looking at putting a new tyre on it.

Or will I have to buy another Weller wheel like my other 4?

This may vary depending on the brand of tyre etc. so it would probs be best to speak to the tyre fitter to make sure

However, based on this information from one of the General AT2 tyre sizing charts, the 215/75/15 wheels are suited to a 5.5 to 7.0 wide rim. Given the standard rim is 15x5.5 it should be fine.

Some people have fitted oversized tyres for their rims without issues before.

Any 215 will fit an SJ run - I run 215/80/15's on SJ rims.

They are the same dimensions as a Jimny rim but with 5mm less offset.

In fact you can run 235's on an SJ or Jimny rim.

Butting in again.......

I have 205r15 Recips on, would 31's fit?
The wheels are the ones that have been altered, Rhino Rays I think, so that the centre is further back in the wheel, if you get my drift.
I was fancying 31's now that I have a lobster box but didn't fancy having to buy wider steels.

K :-)
