Hi. So I’m trying to make my jimny as waterproof as possible as it is a second car used for green laning and pay and plays only so regularly in deep water.
So far I have sealed my snorkel properly, put dielectric grease around the spark plug tubes and the plugs on top of the engine inc cam sensor, added breathers and removed all carpet.
I am aware of the issues I may have with the ecu and other interior electrical stuff as water comes in fast, but are there any ways to further prevent damage?
Any help appreciated.

Yokohama Geolanders, Sony head unit, NAUTILUS Air Horn, DRL conversion, Rear cargo space, Elvis Bobblehead, transfer Guard, Indian hanging Elephant, Koni Heavy track dampers, Custom SS exhaust, Voodoo Doll, Adventure Rack with LED ight bar, vintage ERIBA caravan usually attached (yes it's slow)

Remove everything electrical you don't need. What's left, especially the ECU, relocate it as high as you can. No matter what you do eventually water will make it's way in. Even if it doesn't kill it instantly, eventually the corrosion it causes will give electrical issues.
It really is a case of simplify the electrical needs and keep them out of the water if you can. Obviously this is easier to do if you don't intend to use the vehicle on public roads and can bin the lights etc.
I've seen alternators relocated to the top of engines to keep them out of the water, simply as the bearings etc will rust up after a few dips.
Yes, an old school diesel engine is a better option in water.

Also think about finding a pair of aluminium or solid plastic seats and a pelican case to put a change of dry clothes in. Nothing worse than a wet bum for the rest of the day.
