Hi all

I received the below recently and was wondering if anybody has any idea how long it would generally take to arrive in the UK from then?

Cheers

Rob

If you have just ordered it and you got that message recently (within last week) then it is likely to be on the Car Carrier "NOCC OCEANIC" as that has the current batch that people are being offered.

James' new Jimny is on that ship and he got that message last Friday.

A typical ship from Japan to UK takes 6-8 weeks, However Suzuki UK seem to allocate only once the ship is well under way (ie. they allocate from what they know is on the ship).

MarineTraffic shows that ship to be just entering the Red Sea off the coast of Aden this morning.

Suzuki cars arrive in Portbury Dock near Bristol and the schedule for Portbury shows the ship docking on 6th September. Now clearly the ship can be delayed (its not queued yet for the Suez Canal) and there will be some import time in Bristol (our last Jimny was around 8 days from landing in port to arriving at the dealer).

Yours may not be on this ship but I think its quite likely.

Well, providing the information is correct about it being on this ship, our new Jimny has arrived in Bristol

Thanks to the wonders of the Internet we have been able to track it around the world and then watch it on webcams approaching Portbury (Bristol)

What, no live tracking on the transporter Martin?

Great isn't it, you can track it's journey round the seas of the world, but you can't see it a few miles down the road.

I used Ship Tracker several years ago to track my fibre-glass dome from the US to Liverpool, it's a brilliant tool.
