I rocked up to a convenient petrol station last night with the fuel light on and found I had left my wallet at home. Very cross and had to creep home and get it and then creep down to the local place. Needle off the bottom and put 37.9 litres in. Not my finest hour.

I didn't christen her Dreadnaught for any old reason, she puts up with me and my sleep deprived bad decisions on a daily basis and thinks nothing of it. I love my car!

Following a VERY scientific return trip from Bristol to Scotland this week:
Motorway, not much traffic, 50mph on M6 contraflows/roadworks, mostly cruise control on (Waze) 60mph on the way up: 44.9mpg
Motorway, not much traffic, same 50mph on M6 contraflows/roadworks, mostly cruise control on (Waze) 70mph on the way back: 35.4mpg
All done from 10 miles after the fuel light comes on, and filled to the visible brim.

my latest fill up after 314 miles, about 22 miles after the warning light came on. Still only managed to squeeze in 33.69 liters. Trip computer calculated 43.8mpg, actual was 42.37mpg.

I get 35.5 / 36.5mpg on the trip computer. Here is my point, average speed is 14mph (short town runs) What is your average speed? to get a reading of 40+mpg. Auto or manual? Thanks.

That's good mpg! Looks like you do a lot of miles, but how does 100km a day = 1500km a month?
Replied by Bill Portland on topic Re:How many miles to a tank? Gen 4
I get 5.9l/100km on average, so about 47mpg if I calculated correctly.
