Anyone used or own one of these? If so, is there an issue with obscuring the rear lights plate??

If the hinges are anything like the gen3 the issue is likely to be the excess weight as much as obscured lights. Also as I mentioned in another post the tyres on an adult's bike are going to stick out past the sides of a Jimny quite a bit so some kind of reflective or illuminating device would be very useful to attempt to minimize the risk of someone hitting the wheels on their way past.
Temeraire (2018 quasar grey automatic)
One of the last 200ish of the gen3s, probably.

I'm using this Fabbri 'Gringo' rack on mine ..usually with just 1 or 2 lightweight racing bikes though! It seems happy enough with a Gtech e-bike and my Canyon too, but I only use it occasionally

I use one on my SZ3 with a heavy bike. I can open the rear door, but don't leave it open to reduce strain. The wheels cover the lights, so I bungee a trailerboard to mine. The only real issue is stopping the bike swinging back and forth - I put a strap around the pedals and pull it into the spare wheel. A spacer would be better as it would keep the bike vertical and away from the door.
