If the car is driving nice and smoothly then a damper isn't really needed. But if the car has a known good set of steering joints and bearings, the wheels are balanced and there's no wear evident and yet there's still a bit of a wobble then a damper will mask that and make the car nicer to drive.

A damper will definitely help with steering kick back from poor road surfaces.

hi

just done a 1000 km road trip mostly on asphalt with bits of offroad here and there, noticed a wandering feeling from the steering wheel while driving and i just felt very tired, constantly correcting the car ride coupled with wallowy ride in highway speed.

fitted tough dog RTC dampers on gen 4, got it for a great deal (90 gbp converted from my currency) and fitted it in my university parking lot with me mate along with a spooring the next day.

noticed the wandering feeling is gone now, tested at 20-60 kmh and at around 100-120 kmh, i could let go of the wheel and the car would stay center even while hitting potholes at highway speed.

is it worth it ? at the price point i would say so, it made the steering feeling like a normal car instead of a drunk driver.

(all suspension hardware and tyres are bone stock from the factory)
