high lift jack? was created by Lambert
Hi, without recourse to full metal bumpers are there any convenient and discreet points to mount high lift jack tubes to? On the defender they are built in and on a few occasions the ability to lift out of ruts and off stumps has been a blessing, which with the jimny being lower still would be even better to have the ability to do the same.

Yeah I have seen those but having ours been fitted with the really pretty split 5 spoke alloys I am very hesitant to use one I would hate to damage a wheel.

I would say there is nowhere on a standard jimmy you can use a high lift except on a towbar if you had one fitted since they are all plastic panels..
rock sliders is probably what you need if your going to get stuck on stuff and need a highlift to get you off.. you can also use a high lift like a crude tirfor winch

I was wondering if there are any bolt holes in the end of the chassis to mount some tubes to and then have some covers on the bumper to hide them behind.

this isn't really for stock jimny's but on the chassis rail end caps i have a 50x50 box section bolted to join the 2, i have used this a few times now to jack off of.

I think I'd stick to a bottle jack. That's all I carry for out and about. Just get it on reasonably level ground and it'll do for a wheel change.

its that same old message.. what are you planning to do with your Jimny..
If your going to do play days then trust me if your unmodified your bumpers will come off one way or another!.. once they are off there are plenty of highlift points!.. removing in advance is the preferred option and its not that hard a job to do so long as the fixing are not rusty!
if your planning on laning though you will need to come up with a solution that keeps or replaces the bumpers since you have to remain road legal..
if your only using it on the level or road then why do you need a high lift?
