MPG was created by kona
Hi im thinking about buying a jimny as a daily driver and to use for green laning at weekends, I live in suffolk so its fairly flat what sort of mpg can I expect to see from a 08/09 manual jimny, I have a 24 mile round trip to work on small country roads with out traffic so my speed is generally around 40-50 mph and also what sort of mpg when driving with dirt tyres on?

many thanks :)

I can tell you in my modded jimny it would cost about a tenner for the trip but that's not much help, I think you get about 30-35mpg in standered, I reckon I get about 20-25
edited that comment as read the mileage your doing wrong

If you don't drive it like a sports car and use the low gearing to potter around at about 50/55 you should get around 35+ in a VVT.

I started off high and worked my way down ever since :-)

Your tyres will make a difference - changing from the standard Bridgestones to Yokohama Geolandars mine went from 37 to 33 mpg on the road. You may want 2 sets of wheels?
