First Time Off Road in the Jimny - was created by parriehunter
Took my finacee out in the Jimny for the first time along Wellingtons South Coast/Red Rocks. This is a popular place as it is close to Wellingtons CBD. SO much that as we were leaving I saw another Jimny, this was lifted with an ARB bullbar and snorkel....

Here is a map showing the area and the track follows the coast, not having been around there for almost a year it has changed a lot and the recent storms have caused some slips.

I have also made a video of track with hopefully the more interesting parts, The more technicial part of the track is towards the end and is called Devils Gate.

Whoa - that was confusing as the map shows San Jose, USA for me and you would be very lucky to have a Jimny in the USA let alone see another one!

New Zealand looks good!

Thanks Guys,

Haha, people do say I am a hobbit as I do have very hairy feet, haha.

I was amazed at how well it went, the Terrano on 30 inch tyres struggled to get over devils gate cleanly where the Jimny just cruized over it. Except for me stalling a couple of times.

The video was my first attempt so hopefully I can only get better at it.

How did you mount your camera - all the bumps seem to be very well absorbed?? There is no camera shake.

Thanks for the comments, the camera is a RD32II and it is mounted using this camera mounting and the adhesive base all from DX.

I think it is the Jimny being able to absorb the bumps more than the camera

Thanks, i tired to get Tool to start after Black Betty but I don't know why they didn't. I will keep trying and hopefully they get better.

Got one of my mates coming up to watch Bathurst this weekend so am hoping to take him out and show him what the Jimny is like. He has a reasonably modded 70 series cruiser.
