How Long

Hi all the Question is how long did suzuki manufacture the Jimny VVT with the R72 gearbox? was it like a 5year run or is it still in production today. The reason for this Question is I'm still trying to find this 5spd manual R72 gearbox and after nearly 3 weeks Im unable to find one,all the normal soruce's (cam suz maddog and all the tinternet breakers) seem to stock the JM7E box Which they say will fit and it will!
but as I found out from here its the wrong box for this car. Iv'e looked inside my box and the damge is pretty major gears have been chipped and that explains why we lost 3rd gear, and the case where the bearing once was, looks a little oval, so to my eye its a new box needed due to the damage to the gears alone
was this only run for X amount of years and thats why nobody has one??? been looking round carparks and the streets to see if i could find another one but all the cars round here dont carry the VVT badge from 2006 onwards so was it a limited run due to this box haveing this self distruct mode built in
