Hmmm the Jimny I was hoping to get at the weekend has sold, so I'm looking again, any advice on age / milage, I want something for both off road and on road, I was hoping later than 2002 my budget £2500 tops, what kinda milage is reasonable?

For that budget you should concentrate on condition rather than mileage. Depending on how much off road use you're planning, and what type of off-roading, you may be better off buying a Jimny that's already been modified - they tend to work out cheaper than buying a standard one and modifying it yourself. Take a look on the classifieds on here - there are usually a couple for sale. And buy one quick before people start thinking about winter and snow and the prices shoot up!
