If your thinking of fitting an internal cage surely you will need to remove the rear seats as they would be unusable so why not take out them out out completely?

Pretty sure that if the rear seats and belts are not fitted it won't be an issue for the MOT.

If the seats are out but belts are fitted I think thats OK but seats without belts would fail.

Striped out the back of mine and fitted a flat rubber lined ply floor and dog guard behind the front seats as its a dog taxi!

My floor is a bit ropey but had passed like this.

If you were to refit seats and then have an accident you may be in a dodgy position.

I told my insurance that there are no rear seats fitted.

Sounds like a good plan and I will probably have to replace my floor the same way at some point.

Just make sure that where the cage passes through the aluminium floor to the chassis is well sealed with sikaflex.

OK to fit harness to the cage so long as the belts are level or slightly downward.

Looks good to me, but do you think the fuzz will allow me to bungee rope my grandaughter to the grill?

Ha, ha. Never thought of that. I could also strap on one of her cuddly toys to keep her company. I feel a Social Services visit looming!
