Decided to give my manual hubs a clean as the salt is getting at the aluminium
Before
After a polish and re-did the lettering in red calliper paint
I was thinking of lacquering them, but not sure if it will stay on, so settled for a final polish with Turtlewax which is supposed to repel the water and gave them a spray with some silicone.

Another thing that did not work on mine when bought, the CD player. Cannot get a CD in and horrible noises when trying to eject a disc which might be in there.
Common failing as far as I can tell. No real urge to replace with something fancy and touch screen, I like old school, and it just looks like it belongs.
Could try one of the very few double DIN radios that are not all screen but still would have the fascia issues and more expense.
So I took the dash apart, removed the radio, disassembled it and plugged it back in so I could see the workings when eject was pressed.
There was a CD already inside and the plastic gears were the cause of the noise.
A plastic screw lug had broken off allowing flex in the mechanism and unmeshing of gears.
Blob of glue and reassemble, and the CD player works again. Might not last, we shall see, but saves me spending money I don't have on fancy new stuff I don't want!!!
Is there a source for the yellow plastic clips that hold the fascia on? Mine was held on with just one of them and a couple of metal ones that don't really fit.

I think Martin keeps them in the BigJimny shop, see the banner at the top.
I think these are the ones
www.bigjimny.com/store/radio-facia-retaining-clips.html
But contact Martin to be sure.
