Yup, jigsaw is fine, just take it nice and easy so it doesn't chip the gel coat on the up stroke...

I then corrected my slight wanders using a sander... chuffed with the result

I like the idea of re-using the bit I cut out (so that the back door opens)... the spacers are there ready off the Mark 2 soft-top fittings to hold it in the right place too...?

Tinted perspex window bolted in place on a bead of mastic...





Just needs a nice neat bead of mastic running around the edge... but... I thought I'd leave that to the experts... so I texted a couple of mates who are joiners and asked them to pop in on the way home... there is a bit of an art to getting it right...!

Looks smart. You that light we talked about that never comes on on my GV? It came on on the way home.

What i don't understand .. was that Fastback thing "window-less" ???

I'd have put a bead of mastic between the perspex and the cover to ensure a water tight seal and then the one on the outside is just for appearances.

Yes I don't do them with windows. Some people want them some don't simple enough to do in various ways if wanted

The lil' Red Jimny came out of the garage on Wednesday last week, to get the Big Blue Jimny in to have it's prototype TrialGear HD rear shafts fitted, soon to be available from JimnyBits...



I'd mastic'ed the rear window myself in the end as my joiner 'mates' never turned up in the end...

I couldn't help but notice the tow bar made it look lower?



So I whipped it off, and it sold quickly through this fine forum!



That's better! I'll swap the Jimnys back round tomorrow, and the KAP front bumper trim and rear quarter bumpers should turn up tomorrow too

One other thing I couldn't help but notice walking passed the Jimny the other day... (and something James Priestley remarked on when he was here the other day...)



The front ends of the chassis are missing?!

And, the front 3 panels (wings and bonnet) are a slightly different colour to the rest of the Jim' and the bonnet gaps are different either side... that'll relate back to it's Cat-C status then? It's a damaged repaired...

Cat C bought like this with the bumper brackets already removed...
