Hello Millzy, great idea but just one remark, you should be thinking about a system that can block your backdoor when it's opened and you have some cooking gear on it.
Certainelly when you have hot water cooking on your back door table, some strong wind and the door could be closing, you can imagine what could happen when someone is just standing in front !

Did see what some wind can do on a camping with beautifull lake and surrounded with some mountains and on a sunny day, no clouds!
My (camping) neighbours with lightweight cooking gear on a table that also was lightweight and not so very stable.
Suddenly some strong wind shearings and things flying around (parasols, plastic boats, sails, chairs) only a few seconds and several people hurt, among them this neighbours women and her little one who did got hot water over them !
So a cheap blocking system could be certainely an option to make. :)

Very handy, next step would be a canopy overhead.

On the 8th Day God made the LandRover -
On the 9th day he swapped it for a Jimny.
