Well I am back in civilization and back to broadband
As you know I had to get the jimny welded the other day.... heres some pics.
Ohhh, I silver hammerited the entire inside as well just for protection.... I will get round to doing undernieth if its financially wise to weld the front as well..... time will tell!

Well as many of you know I got the boot of my jimny welded the other day.
I also removed all the plastics and carpet and painted the entire floor inside with silver hammerite ( all I had lol )
Heres a few pics.... I will see about welding the front if its financially feasable otherwise she may be scrapped

hi
just noticed your pic s of the boot repair , my jimny has two rust spots nearly holed in the the boot under the jack. could you tell me if you just cut that small section out completely and weld a steel patch in or is there ribs or something under the floor that stops this. i have not been under to have a good look yet but will get it done before winter sets in.

Theres nothing under the floor if I remember right ( or if there was it was all rusted to nothing lol )
The main problem is finding a bit solid enough to weld to! lol

from inside on mine only 2, inch size spots look gone so the rest should be easy to weld to . i will grind it out and luckily have a lad round the corner that welds and repairs crashed motors up so he will weld it for me on the cheap with a bit of luck
