forgot to mention, been looking into lift kits..... really want one lol.
Not sure weather to get the spring spacers and shock adjusters ( do you need 4 or 2 ? )
or weather to get the offroad armoury 2" body lift kit.... tho im a little scared as it involves mods to the steering shaft and transmition lever? ( im awaiting detailed instructions from them )
both apparently can be done without extended brake hoses?
views more than appreciated please :) --- im on a budget and cant afford a propper lift kit...... also looked at the eco lift on here but was unsure about the instructions - possibly because I havnt been able to get under my jimny as yet :(

good body lift from jimnybits cheap or eBay kit like i did which is pain in the backside and drill out some of them so they fit but i recommend the proper kit makes it easy. i will have some spare spring spacers soon which give 2" lift which makes you want more. get the bike sold and spend spend spend lol
you will be fine on standard hoses unless you extend the shocks then bigger are needed. enjoy

would I not need to extend the shocks if I extend the springs? or is it like lowering a car on standard shocks....not really right but you can get away with it ?

Hi I would suggest that you would need to change the shocks, although I havent had much to do with modding Jimnys yet I have done plenty on the old SJs and a 2" lift is enough to mean shocks may be close enough to fully extended to fully extend and bang over lumps and bumps on road let alone off road where the shocks probably wont last long, you will have made your steering super light and camber correction bushes may be needed also if you are going to off road it I wouldnt risk leaving the std brake lines on from what I have read.

you can get away with it but lose articulation. ill be selling very soon as i have my 3" kit in the kitchen just waiting until i aint lazy hahahaha
id get shock repositioners spacers brake lines and all will be fine tbh then you already have brake lines if you go higher. mine was fine without castor correction its personal preference really but i never bothered but got some cheap ORA arms for my 3" kit.

i never extended my shocks i got away with it but extending the shocks gives more articulation but extend the brake lines if you extend the shocks
