Took it home again today. Its true what they say, the red calipers give you 5hp more! It feels quicker, i bet the fuel consumption decreases aswell. Doesnt have anything to do with the old calipers i guess.
I will bleed the whole system again when the pads are run in.

I saw changing the callipers as a "performance" mod, it certainly felt more spritely after getting the sticky old callipers off. I missed the gig with the paint though.....
I have the old callipers that I was going to rebuild for sale, I might paint them...

How are the new brakes doing, compared to stock ones?
I guess the diameter of the rotor is the same, only a bigger piston that makes better brake power?

Mine feels great now braking with vitara calipers and vented rotors.
Not a proper comparison on my car as the old rotors where bad and the rear brakes were well oiled and greasy and i changed everything at the same time.
Quite sure the brakes was never this good, especially at speed.

Got a rusty caliper piston that needs attention soon, but not sure its worth all the fuzz with the vitara brakes.. Doesnt sound like an «upgrade» thats really noticable to be honest.. Vented discs are great, for cars that uses alot of brakes.. I barely use them on the jimny, even in steep`ish downhills.
No point throwing money at it, if it doesnt upgrade much.. But i`ll read up on it and make up my mind
