I'll be following the brake upgrade MadsV, I'm getting tired of having to refurb mine every year due to stuck calipers etc, so looking at what can be done to improve them

I am doing my brakes this weekend I hope. Got the correct vented discs with 108mm center hole (ABS-models) before christmas but haven't had the time to swap the parts yet. Calipers and hangers have been lying in the shelf for years as they where supposedly going on my SJ. But better to start using them sooner i guess.
Also changing the rear master cylinders and shoes as the handbrake hangs up in reverse. All sticky and gooey in there from leakage and dirt.

Norway 2005 Jimny M16A VVT, 235 BFG MT, 2" Trailmaster, ARB rear lck, 17%/87% high/low gears.

Ordered complete front brake kit for diesel jimny at brakes.com with ebc greenstuff pads. And ordered calipers from Meca, brand FTE, for 5 door vitara g16b.
I can post links with the parts if you like, will probably make a bigger post with details when i’m fitting it

Calipers arrived today. I will paint the new parts before installing them. Ordered the brake kit from ebc today also, so i have to find a weekend to do the brakes and the kingpin bearings on the left and the seal on the right

I did not bother to paint my new stuff as usual... Should have.
From memory, the vitara caliper piston is 52mm diameter and the SJ where 46mm. I have no idea what diameter the jimny is.

Did a solid red bmw today, so got some red on the calipers at the same time. Etch primer, sealer, two coats red and two coats clear. Should give some protection

Brake discs and pads should be here next week so hope to change them next weekend
